From the Editor,

From the Editor,
We are proud to be in front of our readers with the 3rd issue of TAM Academy. TAM, the academic publication of our think tank Center for Social Research, is now indexed by Copernicus and Scilit indices, so our journal has gained the identity of a field-indexed publication in a short time. Thanks again to all my friends who contributed to this. Our journal, which was also followed by DOAJ and TR Index, is on its way to becoming a qualified academic publication.
In this issue of the TAM Academy, there are 9 articles, 7 of which are in Turkish and 2 in English. Ekin Kadir Selçuk, in her article titled "Reading the Image of Women of Kemalism and Islamism through Novels", offers a different perspective that discusses the image of women in Turkish literature on a political plane. Filiz Resuloğlu discusses the issue of environmental literacy with an ecocritical analysis based on the work of the author Poetry Taş in her article titled "Introduction to Environmental Literacy from the Doors of Sekoyana". Umut Tayyibe Eğitimci, on the other hand, presents a sociological analysis while analyzing the film in his work titled “The Relationship between Comedy and Identity in the Context of the Borat Movie”. Seda Nur Çınar, in her article titled “The Turkish Example of Deutsche Welle in the Context of Alternative Media”, includes a different perspective on the recent Turkish media by comparing mainstream media and alternative media. Ahmet İşçi, on the other hand, critically discusses the EU's security policies in the face of the migration problem in his book titled "The European Union's Security Migration Policies: An Evaluation in terms of Social Policy". Selman Okumuş, on the other hand, deals with the relationship between changes in communication technologies and religious practices in his article titled “Digitalization and Religious Practices: A Literature Review”. Özgür Özen, in his article titled “Analysis of Promotional Films of Universities in the Western Mediterranean Region”, evaluates such media products in detail, starting from a regional sample. Ümit Ünsal Kaya and Nezahat Hamiden Karaca discuss the issue of digital games and children's cybersecurity in their article titled "The Evolutionary Transformation of Play: Digital Games and Children's Cyber Security". Özge Kulak, on the other hand, discusses the Gezi Protests as an example of social movements in the context of critical mass theory in her article titled “Critical Mass Theory and Participation in Social Movements: The Case of Gezi Protests in Turkey”.
While bringing the TAM Academy together with its rich content in the May 2023 issue, we are happy to hold the TAM 2nd International Social Sciences Congress, which was organized by our think tank and presented to the 100th anniversary of our Republic, in Antalya's Kaş district this month. With its academic journal, publishing house and congresses, the Center for Social Research is advancing with firm steps towards its goals of guiding and guiding the Turkish world and making Turkish the language of science again. To follow our think tank and its studies in detail,
you can visit our websites toplumsalarastirmalarmerkezi.org, tamde.org and tamuskon.org. Again, you can view and follow our Center on all social media channels. Hoping to meet you in our November 2023 issue, I wish you productive readings.
