Article Template

Manuscripts must be prepared using the journal’s official manuscript template. Submissions that do not comply with the template may be rejected directly by Journal of TAM Academy.

Article Structure and Writing Guidelines

Manuscripts submitted to our journal must follow the APA (American Psychological Association) Style, 7th Edition reference system. Both in-text citations and the reference list must comply with the writing and formatting rules specified in the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association.

Manuscripts should be prepared using reference management software such as Zotero, Mendeley, or EndNote and submitted accordingly.

Language and Abstract Arrangement

Journal of TAM Academy accepts manuscripts written in Turkish and English. Regardless of the language of the manuscript, abstracts and keywords in both languages must be included.

Turkish Manuscripts

In manuscripts written in Turkish, an Extended English Abstract must be provided following the Abstract and Keywords sections. This extended abstract should include the research topic, purpose, research questions/hypotheses, methodology, and main findings, and must not exceed two pages.

The section order for Turkish manuscripts should be as follows:

  1. Turkish Article Title
  2. Abstract (Turkish)
  3. Keywords (5 items)
  4. English Article Title
  5. Abstract
  6. Keywords
  7. Extended English Abstract
  8. Introduction

English Manuscripts

For manuscripts written in English, the English title, abstract, and keywords should be followed by the Turkish title, abstract, and keywords. An Extended English Abstract is not required for manuscripts written in English.

The section order for English manuscripts should be as follows:

  1. English Article Title
  2. Abstract
  3. Keywords (5 items)
  4. Turkish Article Title
  5. Abstract (Turkish)
  6. Keywords (Turkish, 5 items)
  7. Introduction

Manuscript Template and Page Layout

Manuscripts must be prepared using the journal’s official manuscript template. Submissions that do not comply with the template may be rejected directly by Journal of TAM Academy.

  • Page size: A4
  • Margins: Top, Bottom, Left, Right 2.5 cm
  • Page orientation: Portrait

Only pages containing wide tables, figures, or graphics may be formatted in landscape orientation.

If an explanatory note regarding the manuscript is required, it should be provided as a footnote numbered 1.

Author Information and Double-Blind Peer Review

Author names should be listed immediately below the article title and separated by commas. Each author should be assigned a footnote number, including the author’s academic title, institution, department, e-mail address, and ORCID information.

Due to the double-blind peer review system, author information must not be included in the manuscript during the initial submission stage. Necessary revisions will be requested by the editor after the peer review process is completed.

Abstract and Keywords

  • The abstract must be between 100 and 300 words.
  • The purpose, methodology, and main findings of the study must be clearly stated.
  • No citations should be included in the abstract.
  • The abstract must be followed by 5 keywords, with each keyword capitalized.

Headings and Text Structure

Main, sub, and lower-level headings should be used to ensure a clear structure. Headings may be numbered when necessary:

Introduction
1. Main Heading
1.1. Subheading
2. Main Heading
2.1. Subheading

Figures, Tables, and Visuals

  • Figures and visuals should be numbered consecutively starting from 1, with captions placed below.
  • Tables should be numbered consecutively starting from 1, with titles placed above the table.
  • Captions for tables and figures should be in 10-point font.
  • Table paragraph spacing (before, after, left, right) should be set to 0 pt.

References and Citation System

Journal of TAM Academy accepts manuscripts prepared in accordance with the APA 7th Edition citation style.
